Objective
The department has highly qualified and dedicated faculty members with the specialization in various areas such as laser spectroscopy, Nano Material synthesis and its Bio Medical Applications, Magnetic material modeling, Structure determination, Crystal growth, Thermoelectric and Solar Cells, Computer aided Drug Design, Molecular Docking, molecular simulation and DFT, Bio photonics.
It is an added advantage for the scholars to excel research in various fields.
In alignment with our vision to offer Research opportunities of very high standards, the Department of Chemistry has added yet another accolade to our Esteemed Institution. Now the Department of Chemistry is a Research Centre recognized by Anna University vides Letter No. 1419/IR/Physics/AR2 dt 30.06.2022.
